Founder
Baron Hollowell
Baron Hollowell, a serial entrepreneur, has started his business ventures based on opportunism. First starting a successful trucking company in the boom of the oil industry, he then ventured out to a healthy meal prep company when he saw the wave of health foods coming to mainstream. With his long interest in Real Estate and single family home investments he next founded Mako Capital based around Multifamily investments. He currently is based out of Boise, ID.

Carol Hollowell
Carol Hollowell has been involved in business development for over 30 years. From building up a hair salon chain, to a mortgage and development company she has a knack for seeing the big picture and then executing. A native of Oregon, she moved to St. George, UT. 10 years ago. Her desire to make a difference and change the model of homeless shelters in Utah led her on a course to open Switchpoint Community Resource Center. Over the last five years, Switchpoint has added on a food pantry, a community garden, a thrift store, Doggie Daycare and a rapid rehousing program. A 55 unit supportive housing project is in the pipeline now. She has received the Social Justice Award and Woman of Achievement in Public Service. In the fall of 2015, Carol and her husband, Bob, rode their tandem bicycle across the US visiting homeless shelters and meeting individuals who are chronically homeless. In 2017, Carol received the Congressional Patriotism and Service Award from Congressman Chris Stewart. Switchpoint was recognized with Innovator of the year in 2018 and continues to solve social issues with innovative solutions. Development of multifamily housing is a focus on both her professional and personal side.

Bob Hollowell
Bob Hollowell is the creative mind behind the scenes. He has developed and ran more than a dozen different businesses over the last 30 years. Bob’s creativity ignited the spark in the family to become self-employed and search out opportunities. Bob has the ability to think outside of the box and look for solutions to any problem and has the ability to see how things are made and then do it better. Bob, as a corporate pilot, sees projects around the country and opens doors for Mako Capital. His work ethic and authenticity draw people to him. He is an accomplished builder, developer, mortgage broker, insurance agent, pilot and serial entrepreneur.

Board Of Advisors
Mike Taravella
Mike Taravella, CPA, graduated from Michigan State University in 2014 with a Masters of Science in Accounting. He has worked 5 years professionally in accounting. He started at Ernst & Young in public accounting and then transitioned into Detroit’s startup community at Rock Ventures.
He began his real estate investing career in 2016 by owning and self-managing investments in Michigan. He also took an interest in real estate development before joining Rand Partners in 2019. Mike is currently the Asset Manager that is responsible for underwriting deals, investor relations, and asset management.
Gino Barbaro
Gino Barbaro owned and operated a restaurant for over twenty years before transitioning full-time into multifamily real estate. He’s been investing in real estate for over 15 years and grown his multifamily portfolio to nearly 1200 units with his partners. His passion lies in running the client relations for Rand Partners, along with underwriting deals and exploring new opportunities in the national market. He has also created a real estate education company called Jake & Gino, written two best-selling books, one in real estate and one in cooking, co-hosts the number one multifamily podcast on iTunes, and empowers individuals to take control of their lives through his coaching business. Gino is a graduate of Fairfield University and IPEC (Institute for Professional Excellence in Coaching). He currently lives in Florida with his wife and six children.
Jake Stenziano
Jake Stenziano, MBA spent 10 years performing various roles in the Pharmaceutical and Biotech industry before actively pursuing multifamily investments in 2010. Since then he has acquired nearly 1200 multifamily units with his partners. Jake also enjoys running the day-to-day operations of Rand Property Management LLC. Jake has worked with brokers, sellers, title insurers, appraisers, engineers, architects, property management software companies, attorneys, lenders, equity partners, insurance companies, leasing and property management teams; negotiated terms for new leases, renewals, and RUBS; ensured compliance and tenant billing; and hired employees in property management. He also has extensive experience with and acquisition analysis and due diligence. He is also the host of the number one multifamily podcast on iTunes and has a best selling book on multifamily investing. Jake and his family reside in Knoxville, Tennessee.
